– Had pleasure of working with LMS for over a year, having gone through a troubled period – resignations and staff losing competence and direction – through their efforts we are now a “reborn” organization with a clear mission and shared expectations.

The following web site www.winkton.net is the product of good friend and former British air-traffic controller John Levesley’s deep-seated interest in aviation, and in particular World War II history. He went to great lengths to recognize an important piece of World War II history through the research, development, and operation of a web site devoted to a mission that took place some sixty years earlier at an advanced landing strip within a stone’s throw of his home. At that time, a U.S. fighter group of over 1,000 men and more than eighty P-47 Thunderbolt fighters were heavily involved, for approximately ninety days, in preparation for its part in the Normandy Invasion on June 6, 1944. John has put his initiative, resourcefulness, resolve, and know-how to use to memorialize contributions of the U.K., his own Winkton area, and the Allied Forces.
